Zircon powder and zirconium silicate can be stably used in the fields of traditional ceramics, daily ceramics, and special ceramics. Their stability in various materials is relatively good, so they are currently basically irreplaceable materials. The use of zirconium silicate has gradually increased. Since 2008, sales and prices have continued to rise, and the price of imported zirconium silicate has further increased significantly. Zirconium silicate is mainly used in the fields of daily ceramics, exterior wall tiles, floor tiles, sanitary detergents, and some nuclear equipment as zirconium fibers and zirconia as structural ceramics. For example, it is used as special materials such as ceramic knives. In China, the use of zirconium silicate in the traditional ceramic field is large, and the use of structural and functional ceramics is also increasing, but the proportion is not large.
The application of silicic acid has increased significantly with the increase in the production of traditional ceramics. In Asia, especially in China, there is significant growth. The application in Europe is relatively reduced. Due to the slow development of ceramics, Africa is relatively stable. The usage in the Americas, especially in South America, is gradually increasing. Oceania's ceramic industry is relatively small, so it has decreased.
